The book W. Eugene Smith. Usate la verità come pregiudizio is the third volume of the trilogy dedicated to “The man and the do”, an ideal photographic approach to the contexts of work in our societies, within the I Quaderni CMC editorial series, published by Admira. W. Eugene Smith photographed the periods of depression, war, post-war wealth and disillusionment with passion and originality, working in the four continents, loving reality and life, from the characters known to ordinary people. The undisputed inventor and master of photo-essay, in which each person takes on the role of protagonist of the story and the framed moment becomes universal and symbolic, for him, photography is “a small voice” to “make us aware of an event”. W. Eugene Smith was a photographer and a man necessary to our time. For this reason, in 2016, the exhibition dedicated to the American photographer inaugurated the new headquarters of the CMC, in the heart of the city of Milan and gave birth to this book.
