Publishing House

ADMIRA EDIZIONI is a publishing house specializing in photography publications. Founded in 2003 within the broad and articulated project of ADMIRA, over the years it has collected among its titles numerous high-quality volumes on the work of historical masters and protagonists of contemporary photography. ADMIRA has dedicated the publication of some of its titles to international calibration authors such as Mario Giacomelli, W. Eugene Smith, Leonard Freed, Duane Michals, Lewis Hine, just to name a few. Classical or avant-garde, the authors of the Admira titles are promoters of culture and have strongly marked the direction of photography, each in its own sphere of interest. The carnet of the publishing house does not lack specific volumes produced on the occasion of exhibitions curated by Enrica Viganò for ADMIRA, as in the case of Correspondences Electives / Enduring Friendship by Paul Strand and Walter Rosenblum; or publications dedicated to the authors of contemporary photography, such as Ragnar Axelsson or Edward Burtynsky. Spearhead of the ADMIRA EDITIONS is the book NeoRealismo, the new Image in Italy 1932-1960, published in Italian, Spanish, German and in 2018 also in English (ed. DelMonico Books • Prestel-Admira Edizioni), which accompanies the traveling exhibition homonymous, edited by Enrica Viganò, with a preface by director Martin Scorsese.
